With ten years of North Pole cruising experience under our belt, we welcome you to open the new decade of expedition cruises to the Top of the World.
The largest nuclear-powered icebreaker ever launched - is there more appropriate ship for the trip to the earth's top? Crush ice up to 3 meters (10 feet) thick aboard the most powerful icebreaker in the world. The ship is equipped with a helicopter and a fleet of Zodiacs for shore transfers and landings.
Expedition Team
A good companion makes up half the success of any trip. A good Expedition Team makes up even more than half the success of a North Pole cruise. Each member of our Expedition Team – the Expedition Leader, polar experts (in marine biology, climate, ornithology, glaciology and history), fitness coach, expedition artist, musician and physiotherapist – is among the most professional masters in the field.
Helicopter Team
Landing the helicopter on the helipad of a ship or on a glacier with gusting winds takes great skill and are only two of the jobs that our helicopter crew must perform. For these reasons, only the best and most professional of helicopter crews enter service on our North Pole expeditions.
The Special Polar Event
None of us know what is written in the travelers’ notes put into the capsule to be submerged in the Arctic Ocean. Perhaps there is something like “Denis Cooper was standing on 90° N in July 31 2010,” or one’s dearest wish, or advice to future generations there.
